Time For Christmas Decorations?

Is it a right time to think of Christmas already? Probably not! It is still summer, sunny days, warm enough. I am back from my vacations in Sweden. It was really great! Yesterday I came back home a bit tired of the flight but happy, relaxed and inspired. I spent few days by the sea and became charged by its power. Unfortunately I don’t have an opportunity to come to the sea often… But now I feel power inside of me to create something new and beautiful.

Before I went for a trip I finished a test of a hanging wall decoration which I called "Starry Day". This is a star crocheted in overlay crochet technique (who could doubt!) which can be used in many ways. The stars can be hanged on the wall separately, or on the Christmas tree, they can also become motifs for a garland. They can probably serve as coasters or appliques as well...

Each star is one-sided but you can crochet two motifs and join them with slip stitch or single crochet stitch. I made a Christmas set of six stars and used a fleece fabric of two colors to hide the wrong side. Here is how it looks like:

The pattern of this star is already in my Etsy and Ravelry shops!
