I’ve decided to design a small heart which could be used as hanging decoration
for Christmas or Valentine’s Day or just as an appliqué. These hearts can be
hung separately or joined together into garland. They are crocheted in overlay
crochet technique with colour changes on almost every round.
This is my third Sunny mandala and this time I decided to make a rug. Just
finished! My hook is still hot :) I used very bright colors for this rug - not
really my favourite, but I wanted it to look happy, warm and sunny. I think it
can be a very nice rug for meditation. It can also become a bright decoration
for a table, or it can even be hung on a wall. But in whatever way it is used
it will always be a dominant of any interior.
Is it a right time to think of Christmas already? Probably not! It is still
summer, sunny days, warm enough. I am back from my vacations in Sweden. It was
really great! Yesterday I came back home a bit tired of the flight but happy,
relaxed and inspired. I spent few days by the sea and became charged by its
power. Unfortunately I don’t have an opportunity to come to the sea often… But
now I feel power inside of me to create something new and beautiful.
Before I went for a trip I finished a test of a hanging wall decoration which I called "Starry Day". This is a star crocheted in overlay crochet technique (who could doubt!) which can be used in many ways. The stars can be hanged on the wall separately, or on the Christmas tree, they can also become motifs for a garland. They can probably serve as coasters or appliques as well...
