Mint coffee mandala. Very confusing pattern. Instruction says to place 2dc in each of 8 stitches and you should have 24 stitches at the end of the round when the picture clearly shows only 16 stitches. After several attempts, I gave up. I've been crocheting for over 50 years and have never come upon such a difficult pattern as this. I regret my purchase.
hi there! I am sure we can solve your problem. Which round is it? From what you are writing it is Round 3, I suppose? if so, you should have 8sc and 16dc on this round - so 24 stitches in total. Please send me your progress picture to lillabjorncrochet(at)yahoo.com and I will guide you. :)
In reference to your article: " To cut or not to cut:" question: how were you able to catch the loose stitches once the cut was made? I've looked it over several times and still can't grasp how to continue. Did you use stitch markers to hold stitches to keep it from unraveling completely? That was a daring move to make after doing much work on the blanket.
I suggest you practice with thicker yarn first. No, I did not use stitch markers. First I make slip stitches try to catch all the loops, and then cut. And all stitches were staying in their place.
