Lesson 2: Polishing Your Skills in Brioche Crochet with an Exclusive Pattern

Welcome to Lesson 2 of Brioche Crochet Workshop!

Now that you’ve mastered the basics of brioche crochet, it’s time to take your technique to the next level. In this lesson, we’ll focus on refining your skills and gaining confidence as you create an exclusive brioche crochet pattern designed especially for this workshop.

If you missed Lesson 1, you can view all materials HERE

You’ll learn how to combine increases and decreases to shape intricate textures and patterns — the foundation for creating complex brioche designs. We’ll also explore how to read written instructions independently, so you can follow patterns without relying on video guidance.

By the end of this lesson, you’ll not only complete a beautiful new project, but also deepen your understanding of brioche crochet structure and rhythm — opening the door to even more creative possibilities in your future work.

What You’ll Learn

In this lesson, you will:

  • Refine your brioche crochet technique — strengthen your control, rhythm, and consistency in every stitch.
  • Work with an exclusive brioche pattern — designed to help you apply and expand the skills learned in Lesson 1.
  • Practice shaping with increases and decreases — learn how to create texture, direction, and flow within your fabric.
  • Understand written brioche instructions — gain confidence reading patterns step-by-step, even without a video tutorial.
  • Explore creative color combinations — see how subtle changes in yarn color placement can completely transform your design.

Click HERE to proceed with the practical exercise and bring your new brioche crochet skills to life!

Follow along step by step as we work through the exclusive Emilia Square pattern together — a perfect way to practice shaping, pattern reading, and creative color play.

Hope you enjoy!

With love,

Tatsiana

  2. Hi Tatjana, I thank you for the great workshop. I want to ask why, in row 6 there are backpostdoublecrochets and not frontpost? As I see in the pictures it seems frontpost to me. Thank you in advance, Caroline

  3. Hi Tatijana. I'm a little late to. the party as I was finishing another project. I'm was looking for the video to go with this square, as row 13 corner is confusing to me but I'm not finding it. Thank you for this series of tutorials, it has really helped.
