September. Malmö. And birth of new design...

Recently I have been very busy with a Peacock Tail Bag CAL which is going on at the moment. And I didn’t really have time to design something new. But the CAL is half finished and it’s time to take my hooks and yarns out of the closet again. Let me see what I have… A wonderful small collection of Bloom yarn by Scheepjes!

Since I released a free pattern of Bloom Bathroom organizer, this yarn has been added to the list of my favourites. As you may have noticed I mainly design interior accessories. And Bloom is absolutely perfect for this purpose: natural, sturdy, and with a wide range of colors. Check my review of this yarn HERE.

When I finished bathroom organizer, I felt it might be a good idea to design a small bathmat, to match it. I don’t think that interior accessories should be necessarily of the same color - to make a couple. And I chose 4 happy shades and just added one gray to build a “bridge” to my bathroom organizer.

This post is super short, because I am in Malmö right now. The weather is fantastic and I am SOOOO looking forward to go out, have a cup of coffee in a park café and then run to the beach and sit there for long hours playing with the yarn.

I promise to come back to you very soon and show what I’ve come up with (at the moment I have no idea myself how it will look).

  1. OH WOW SO glad you are doing another Bloom pattern - I love the yarn too. - I bought a ton of white for a bedspread but it is much too heavy - perfect for mats though - I have some colours as well.

    1. Yeah, Bloom can be too heavy for a blanket. But for my bathmat it works just perfect. Can't wait to finish it and show you :)
